Today is Tuesday, May 19. I’m looking at a quick turnaround with NXT back at the WWE Performance Center tonight and Saturday Night’s Main Event landing in Fort Wayne this weekend. With that said, here is all the pro wrestling news you need to know for today.

Monday’s Raw (May 18) put a major challenge on the table as Jacob Fatu called out Roman Reigns for Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship. Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite (May 13) kept its top match in focus with Darby Allin retaining and MJF signing for a Hair vs. Title meeting at Double or Nothing. Tuesday’s NXT (May 19) arrives with two title matches advertised, Tatum Paxley vs. Lizzy Rain and Vanity Project vs. DarkState.

WWE

On Monday’s Raw (May 18), Jacob Fatu challenged World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to meet in Tribal Combat for the title. Brock Lesnar resurfaced by interrupting Oba Femi’s open challenge. Seth Rollins beat Austin Theory after turning Logan Paul’s attempted brass knuckles assist, then Bron Breakker and The Vision laid out Rollins and The Street Profits. Finn Bálor defeated JD McDonagh in a Street Fight, and Paige and Brie Bella retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of The Judgment Day.

NXT

Tuesday’s NXT (May 19) features Tatum Paxley vs. Lizzy Rain for the NXT Women’s North American Championship and Vanity Project vs. DarkState for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Last Tuesday’s NXT (May 12) introduced Naraku, who defeated Lince Dorado in his debut. Mason Rook signed his NXT contract after attacking Tony D’Angelo and Kam Hendrix. Izzi Dame also leveled NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice with a big boot, and their clash spilled into ringside during Kelani Jordan’s win over Kendal Grey.

AEW

Wednesday’s Dynamite (May 13) closed with Darby Allin retaining the AEW World Championship against Konosuke Takeshita, followed by MJF signing for a Hair vs. Title match with Allin at Double or Nothing. Kevin Knight retained the TNT Championship over Brian Cage of the Don Callis Family in an open challenge. Will Ospreay defeated Ace Austin, and the Death Riders made the save after the match. AEW also announced Owen Hart Foundation Tournament quarterfinals at Double or Nothing, Samoa Joe vs. Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland vs. Bandido.

AAA Lucha Libre

Saturday’s AAA broadcast (May 16) featured Galeno del Mal defeating Chris Carter and Drago in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. The Creed Brothers beat Aerostar and El Fiscal, then brawled with El Grande Americano, Los Americanos, and the Original El Grande Americano after the bell.

What Matters Most

The week’s center sits with Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu after Monday’s Raw (May 18) put Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship on the table. AEW’s top match is set with Darby Allin vs. MJF in a Hair vs. Title bout at Double or Nothing, while Kevin Knight’s defense kept the TNT lane active. Tonight’s NXT brings two title bouts, and by Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23, Paige and Brie Bella are scheduled to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Lash Legend and Nia Jax.

Your Take

Is Jacob Fatu vs Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat the high-stakes title match WWE should prioritize, or is it a risky move for Reigns' character?

WrestleMania 42: How Las Vegas broke Fans Wallets

Las Vegas tested the spending limits of the WWE Universe during WrestleMania 42 week (April 16–20, 2026). Ticket prices climbed sharply, and once travel, hotels, and fan events were factored in, the total cost quickly escalated. What looked like demand at first glance revealed something different underneath: fans weren’t getting shut out, they were opting out.
